MarketCast was built with a simple idea: your stock portfolio should be as easy to check as the weather. Whether you are a day trader keeping tabs on volatile positions, a long-term investor reviewing your retirement holdings, or just someone who likes to stay informed about the markets, MarketCast puts real-time financial data on the biggest screen in your home.
We believe that access to financial information should not be limited to a phone screen or a desktop browser. Investors deserve to see their portfolios, market trends, and breaking financial news on the device they already spend the most time in front of — their television. That is why we built MarketCast to work across every major streaming platform, from Amazon Fire TV and Android TV to Apple TV and Chromecast with Google TV.
MarketCast is developed and maintained by AdamApps LLC, an independent software studio focused on building practical tools for everyday investors. As a small, independent team we are able to stay close to our users and build features that actually matter rather than chasing trends or serving advertisers.
The project started when our founder, a software engineer and active investor, grew frustrated with the lack of good options for viewing stock data on a TV. Existing solutions were either clunky web browsers cast to a screen or overpriced enterprise terminals. There was nothing purpose-built for the living room. MarketCast was created to fill that gap.
Since our initial launch on Amazon Fire TV in 2016, we have expanded to Android TV (including Sony Bravia, TCL, Mi Box, and Nvidia Shield), Apple TV, and Chromecast with Google TV. Along the way we have added features like cloud-synced portfolios, live price updates, historical stock charts, market news headlines, and support for thousands of stocks, ETFs, and indexes.
Most financial apps are designed for phones and desktops. MarketCast is built from the ground up for the TV experience. That means large, readable text and charts designed for viewing from across the room, remote-friendly navigation that does not require a mouse or keyboard, and a layout optimized for widescreen displays.
Here is what sets us apart:
Accessibility: Financial literacy starts with access to information. We want every household with a smart TV to have a free, easy way to follow the markets. You should not need an expensive Bloomberg terminal or even a computer to keep an eye on your investments.
Simplicity: The stock market is complicated enough. The tools you use to follow it should not be. MarketCast is designed to be intuitive — download it, sign in, build a portfolio, and start watching. No tutorials required.
Independence: As an independent developer we answer to our users, not to venture capital investors or advertising networks. Every feature we build is driven by what our users actually need.
MarketCast continues to evolve. We are always working on new features, expanding device support, and improving the experience based on user feedback. Whether it is adding new data sources, supporting additional markets, or refining the interface, our goal remains the same: to be the best way to follow the stock market from your living room.
