StockTV and MarketCast are both stock dashboards for the TV, and both are free to download. The biggest practical difference is where they run: MarketCast covers Fire TV as well as Google TV, Android TV and Apple TV, while StockTV does not run on Fire TV.
| MarketCast | StockTV | |
|---|---|---|
| Platforms | Fire TV, Google TV and Android TV, Apple TV | Google TV, Android TV (including Chromecast with Google TV) and Apple TV. Not on Fire TV. |
| Free plan | Market stream, business news, price charts, market movers, a portfolio and a watch list, forex on the ticker tape. Supported by commercials and sponsors. | A small watchlist, delayed prices and shorter chart ranges, per its listing. |
